INCH Load Scheduling
With Firmware release notes came new feature called Load Scheduling. With this feature EVs contribute to grid stability by ensuring the maximum charging load reduction during peak consumption times. After the pause/reduction, the randomized delay function ensures the EV charging demand rises steadily, allowing the grid to accommodate the additional load. Change of maximum current is randomized across 10 minutes time span, after scheduled change.
Â
Users can create weekly recurring profile using editor that can be found in Configuration → Load scheduling
It will open a editor for creating weekly profiles.
Â
First you need to enable local weekly recurring load schedule, and select if you want to have Load scheduler active with both Fast and interactive charging mode.
Enabling the option will open a Load scheduling editor. This graph represents weekly schedule from Monday to Sunday.
Â
To limit maximum charging current for specific time slot click on Add new schedule limitation. This will open simple editor to select on which weekdays limitation will be active. Weekdays are shortened by their first letter in that order: M is Monday, T - Tuesday, W - Wednesday, T - Thursday, F - Friday, S - Saturday, S Sunday. Next to the selected weekday we need to enter time in which charging is limited, and Limit represents how many Amperes will flow into EV.
Example
We want to disable charging every Tuesday and Friday from 8.30 to 14.50. Also we would like to limit charging to 10A per phase every Sunday from 11.15 until 15.35. And from Monday until Friday we want to limit maximum charging current from 17.00 until 20.00 to 13A, for no apparent reason.
So we approach this schedule by disabling charging on Tuesday and Friday.
We click on Add new schedule limitation and select T and F and enter hours 8.00 and 14.00 and setting maximum charging current to 0. Click Save on the bottom and graph should look something like that
If you don’t see whole week, move the sliders on the bottom of the graph
We will now add the next limitation of 10A every Sunday from 11.15 to 15.35. We click on Add new schedule limitation, select Sunday and enter the time and desired current in respective fields.
Final demand is to lower the maximum current from Monday until Friday to 13A, between 17.00 and 20.00
In the end graph should look something like that
