The Dynamic load management screen allows you to enable or disable the Dynamic load management (DLM) functionality. When the functionality is enabled, the screen allows you to:
pair the charging station with a metering device, which can control your charging speeds,
set all DLM related settings.
Open the Device configuration screen and select Dynamic load management.
The Dynamic load management screen opens.
By default, the DLM functionality is disabled.
To enable it, toggle the switch.
When DLM is enabled, the options parameters for the currently selected metering device are displayed; if no device has been selected, Core Load Guard options parameters are shown by default.
If the DLM had previously been set up and the functionality was merely disabled, re-enabling it will display the screen with the settings parameters that were configured before it was disabled. The same applies if a different metering device was selected and the charging station was not restarted to apply the changes.
The options parameters displayed on the screen depend on the device selected device in the Metering device field, and may additionally vary based on other parameters set on this screen settings.
An edit icon
is displayed next to the value only if you have permission to modify it; otherwise, the value is read-only.

2 – Select the type of metering device you are connecting to the charging station for the DLM functionality:
– Core Load Guard
– RS-485 meter
The options parameters that follow on the screen depend on the selected “Metering device“ type.
3 – Tap to open a step-by-step step‑by‑step guide to connect your Load Guard. In the guide, swipe left/right between the guide screens.
Once the Load Guard is connected, the guide title is changed into “How to replace your Load Guard”.
4 – State of your connection to the Load Guard / direct connected RS-485 RS‑485 meter and its detailed description. Possible statuses:
– Connected
– No connection
– Authentication failed
– Connection lost
– Update in progress
5 – Building limits section displays maximum current limitations for the DLM.
DLM screen – INCH Core Load Guard
Once the Load Guard is connected with the charging station and Core LoadGuard is selected in the Metering device field, the following options of the Dynamic load management screen appear. Below is an example screen that may vary depending on other settings on the screen.
1 – Toggle to enable/disable the dynamic load management (DLM) functionality.
When the DLM functionality is enabled, additional options appear below; when disabled, the options are hidden.
2 – Core Load Guard is selected as the type of metering device for the DLM functionality.
3 – Tap to open a step-by-step guide to replace your Load Guard. In the guide, swipe left/right between the guide screens.
4 – State of your connection to the Load Guard and its detailed description. Possible statuses:
– Connected
– No connection
– Authentication failed
– Connection lost
– Update in progress
5 – Serial number of the Load Guard
6 – Select the type of connection, through which the charging station will receive data from the Load Guard:
– Current transformers
– RS-485 meter (electricity meter* connected to the Load Guard via RS-485)
– Over TIC port (electricity meter* connected to the Load Guard via the TIC port)
– Over P1 port (electricity meter* connected to the Load Guard via the P1 port)

7 – Real-time measurements obtained from the connected Load Guard.
8 – Building Select the metering source from which you want the charging station to receive measurement data:
– CTs – Current transformers
– External meter
6 – Phase limits section displays maximum current limitations for the DLM.
DLM screen – External RS-485 meter
Once an external meter is connected via RS-485 physical interface with the charging station and RS-485 meter is selected in the Metering device field, the following options of the Dynamic load management screen appear. Below is an example screen that may vary depending on other settings on the screen.
1 – Toggle to enable/disable the dynamic load management (DLM) functionality.
When the DLM functionality is enabled, additional options appear below; when disabled, the options are hidden.
2 – RS-485 Meter is selected as the type of metering device for the DLM functionality.
3 – Select a type of the meter that is connected to the charging station via the RS-485 interface.
4 – When the type of the RS-485 meter is specified in the Meter type field, the /wiki/spaces/SandBoxVes/pages/4287102990 for the selected meter will be displayed.
Tap on Advanced settings to collapse/expand the settings.
5 – State of your connection to the metering device / input and its detailed description. Possible statuses:
– Connected – Metering connection is successfully established.
– Connection failed - Check your meter’s connection and configuration.
– Invalid values – Measurements received from the metering device are not valid.
6 – Real-time measurements obtained from the connected meter.
7 – Building limits section displays maximum current limitations for the DLM.
If you have permission to change the limit values, an edit icon
is displayed next to the value.
