HOW TO USE THE CHARGING STATION
Charging the vehicle
The charging station can be used by ordinary people, and no special qualification or training is needed for its use.
Â
Before using the charging station:
Read and consider:
the charging instructions in the vehicle’s manual,
the Safety Information in the Quick Start Guide attached to the product,
the Safety Guidelines.
Make sure that the station and its electrical connection have been installed by an authorised electrician according to the Installation guidelines and that the station is properly configured.
Check the charging cable and connector for damage and defects or obstructions, such as foreign objects and water ingress.
Â
1. Authenticate if needed.
Your charging station is configured with one of the following authentication methods, through which the station verifies authorisation for its use:
Free charge (no authentication)
Authentication via INCH Core app
Authentication via an RFID card
When using an RFID card for authorisation, approach the card to the area of the LED indicators and button.
Â
2. Connect the charging station and vehicle with the charging cable.
Â
Charging station with an output socket
Plug the male connector of your charging cable into the output socket of the charging station. Plug the female connector into the inlet of your vehicle.
Â
Charging station with an output cable
Plug the connector of the output cable into the inlet of your vehicle.
Â
Â
Â
The plug must be fully inserted into the inlet of the vehicle.
If your station has an output socket, the plug of the charging cable must be fully inserted into the socket as well. Not doing so will prevent the vehicle inlet from securely locking the plug in place, establish communication with the vehicle, and consequently initiate the charging process.
Â
3. The charging process starts and automatically adapts to the vehicle charging limit and the available energy at any time according to the configuration.
If the vehicle does not start charging, check the following:
status on the INCH Core LED interface and/or in the INCH Core app,
charging status and schedules in your vehicle,
potential charging schedules and limitations in your INCH Core app or in an e-mobility service provider’s central system (if connected),
the connectors are properly plugged in.
If charging still does not start, refer to the Troubleshooting topic or contact your seller’s support for more information.
Â
Do not unplug the charging cable while the vehicle is still charging! Always complete or finish the charging before unplugging.
Â
Changing charging mode
Once the charging starts, you can change the charging mode from Interactive to Fast or vice versa.
Simply touch the touch button or change the mode via INCH Core app. Notice that the LED lights pattern changes to inform you of the change in charging mode.
Â
4. When the charging is finished, you can safely unplug the charging cable.
Â
Â
INCH Core app
The operation and use of the charging station do not require a mobile device or internet connection. If want to use the INCH Core app as an extended user interface for the operation as well as for control or settings of the station, you need a mobile device with Bluetooth and an internet connection.
To download the app, scan the QR code or visit the store that corresponds to the operating system of your mobile device.
