My INCH Payment Configuration

INCH DUO chargers come with an option of having a Payter terminal installed, which enables a convenient payment method for charging sessions, using a Credit card payment system.

The first step, to enabling this feature, is creating a Payment Cluster. This is done in the Backend central system. Watch our tutorial on how to do this in another video.

Once we configure the Payment Cluster, on the backend central system, we head over to the chargers MyINCH interface, open the navigation menu, go to the configuration panel, click on the Payment option, and open the Credit card sub-menu.

Next, we enable the Credit card payment is enabled option, which will open a new set of configurations.

Once enabled, we will see options for the Invoice download endpoint, Payment master charger code, Payment follower charger code, and Payment master settings.

Next to the, invoice download endpoint, we enter an URL address, where the customer will be able to download the invoice of the charging session performed.

In the Payment master charger code, we input a two-digit number that represents the payment master. These digits are the last two digits from the Charge-point friendly code, which is defined in the central system.

The payment follower charger code, is only used, if we have follower chargers in our payment cluster. Those are chargers that are part of the payment cluster but need to be connected with a payment master charger, for payment of the charging session. The follower charger code, are again, the last two digits of the Charge-point friendly code, defined in the central system. Please note, that if we are using a payment cluster with no follower chargers, we must insert the same code as we inserted at the option Payment master charger code.

Under Payment master settings we first input the currency, that is used for our payment. Make sure that the payment provider supports the currency you chose.

With the option AC charging preauthorization funds we select the amount that will be used for pre-authorization when the AC charging starts. If the final amount is smaller the difference will be returned to the user’s credit card.

The option, DC charging preauthorization funds, is used for preauthorization on chargers with DC charging. The same rules apply to. AC charging preauthorization, option.

At the VAT option, we insert a value-added tax in percentage.

And with the , Preauthorization timeout setting, we select the time, in seconds, after the preauthorization will be canceled, if the user does not start the charging session, after he swipes his credit card.

Under the, Payment terminal settings, we will enable the option, Terminal on this charger is enabled, if we are using a terminal on our charging station. These settings are only visible on payment master chargers, and not on follower chargers.

Here, we also see the network address, of the payment terminal. The network address is a default one, and should not be changed as the upper ethernet port on the DUOs motherboard is able to use only this address.

With the last three options, we configure the time in which the charger waits for an answer from the payment terminal, we configure how many times it retries, if it does not get an answer, and how much does it have to wait, in order to attempt the transaction again.

For the listing of the prices on the chargers LCD screen, we go to the Pricing menu, where we have three options. We can either choose not to display pricing, we can direct the customer to an external pricing page, with the use of an URL address, and further instructions, or can show the pricing on the chargers LCD screen, by selecting the last option and clicking on add new price item.

Warning! Before installing, wiring, handling or accessing the charging station in any way, make sure to read, understand and follow the Safety Guidelines.
